Don't you hate it when the video you take with your camera or phone is noisy with wind? It happened to me many times when I try to take video on a windy day. Why don't they make cameras or phones with a wind-shield in the microphone area? You should also have the option to record video on mute
I read that American Airlines will charge $15 for the first checked bag as rising fuel costs cut their profits. Frequent-flyers, overseas travelers and full-fare tickets will not have to pay. I think that's unfair and a bad policy. What will the company charge next as oil is expected to rise to $200? Cleaned seats? Cups, forks and knives? Toilet usage, soap and paper? Life vest perhaps?? Or engine maintenance??? Fuel cost increase should be included in the price of the ticket. What's your reaction to this? (read more)
If in the future we will carry one card only for making payments then what about a smart chip that automatically charges the payment to the credit card or to the bank account with the lowest interest rate charge?
Wouldn't it be nice if you could use the same road toll e-pass across all countries of the EU? You install it once in your car and you pay the toll charge for any country with your credit card, no need to wait in line. This is already the case in the US and other countries, I think it is time to do it in the whole of the EU as well. Maybe the next step would be to have one e-pass for all over the world.
We should have the option to deactivate receiving sms when roaming because it costs money. Receiving text message is free when not roaming but costs when roaming. Many times I am traveling and I receive advertising sms for which I get charged. It's only fair for companies to allow you to deactivate receiving sms when you don't want to and have them delivered when you're not roaming so you don't get charged.
A friend of mine who used to work for a bank that doesn't exist anymore used to tell me that a banker's real job is actually very very boring. Take deposits, give loans, call on borrowers to ask them to pay etc etc Yes really boring stuff. So when a banker is really bored he dreams of being in exotic places doing exotic things and then allows his in-house trader to design exotic trades and instruments for him. He used to say the only way to add spice to his job was to let bankers gamble selling it as 'financial innovation' which they did and here we are. So I wonder why not let casino CEOs run the remaining banks that are left? They're good at what they do, aren't they? When you go to a casino you always end up losing your money up to your pain point but the point is that the house Never goes bankrupt!! That's way better for the rest of us who are not gamblers, isn't it?
When I'm in a bar and the DJ plays new music I hear for the first time it be nice to somehow know what song it is so I can look it up later. Since most DJs use laptops these days, they could be broadcasting song info using bluetooth and the people in the bar can instantly receive and save the information in their mobile phones.
