This is probably a very unrealistic thought. I am posting it in case any ambitious engineers might want to give it a go. Some gyms in California store kinetic energy that is produced when people run on machines or when they lift weights. The energy is then converted into electricity and is re-used or sold. What if the shoes we wear could also store the kinetic energy we produce when we walk or run? We could then convert it into electricity, re-use it at home or sell it

talk gets boring need a good joke but can't come up with one? we could use tiny bluetooth earpieces to connect with our cell phone to get the funny lines. set the phone to be recording the talk. while the other person still talks press a button to do an online search for jokes. the keywords will be the last few words spoken till the button was pressed. perhaps a specially built database or site designed for this purpose might be necessary. before you dismiss this as useless imagine how impressive you could sound if you are a beginner in a foreign language :P

whatever you hate or can't stand, if you have a phobia of snakes or spiders or whatever don't post it online, you never know when you might be caught by the police in a foreign country or your own country and be accused of spying or some serious offense, then they can easily run a google search of your phobias and make sure you join your worst nightmare in the cell they lock you. you never know, so don't post what scares you!!

Roundabouts are a seeming contradiction, they slow traffic while they keep it moving. But they are safer than traffic lights because they demand that your - and more to the point everybody else's - operation is cooperation. They save fuel because unlike a light-directed intersection they don't require you to stop, idle and start again. They have no moving parts. And you can plant trees and flowers in the circle.
