All single people are trapped because they are judged by others or given pity for "being alone". However, I spend most of my days listening to married people talking about their divorce or wanting out of their marriage. I think we're screwed either way. I mean, really! Why is being single so bad? Next time anyone tries to hook me up with the most random person they can find, I'm going to throw my drink at them. I'm single. Not Desperate.

I have wondered many times what the meaning of the existence of multiple currencies? I think a single currency could have a lot of benefits like reducing the cost of economic transactions and making the pricing of good and services more effective. Also, it would end the currency speculation and the effects of it and would boost the economic activity among various countries.

One world, one currency

It's been suggested before only as a joke, now let me reiterate it as a half-joke. If printing money is the answer to massive debts and global deflation could we ask that central banks print money on toilet paper so that it's rendered useful if zimbabwe-style inflation sets in? If the quality of paper is smooth and rectum-friendly we won't need foreign exchange markets either. We can just barter, trade, swap, insure or invest in each country's toilet paper comparative advantage. And unlike forex markets, almost every single person in the world uses toilet paper. We're talking of a potential 7-billion-people-essentially-single-currency economy here. Keep it in mind please!

I just had a thought that I hope is worth sharing. I was thinking about how we use our human brains. We are told we utilise only a small percentage of the brain's overall capacity. This awareness leads me to think about its actual structure, namely billions of neurons making connections continuously. I suddenly see the possibility that the whole of humankind functions as if it were a single brain made up of billions of neurons. (read more)

Don't you think it's totally unfair to the average-looking person to hear news of our sexy celebrity couples cheating on each other?

Imagine for a moment You are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is your wife or girlfriend. If I am the average-looking guy and I hear on the news that you cheated on Angelina Jolie because you were bored with her, how is that supposed to make me feel when - for me - sleeping with someone like Angelina Jolie is a privilege I can only enjoy in my dreams? In my wildest dreams that is... (read more)

You can get it pretty much in every restaurant in Israel. They are, single-handedly, the most refreshing thing I have ever tasted. Called lemonana. It's bold lemon and mint served in lemon. It's the perfect antidote to the sticky, oppressive summer days to come - frosty, crunchy and tart. You can eat it with a spoon or a fork. Highly recommended to try!

Invent a system that would not unlock single restroom doors for employees working in restaurants until water has been run and soap dispensed. This innovation might prove more effective than those 'please wash your hands before returning to work' signs. Sure people could work around the system but it would take just as much time and wouldn't be worth the effort.

U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps broke the Olympics' most hallowed record Sunday by winning an unprecedented eight gold medals in a single Games.

In modern Olympic history, no athlete has accomplished that feat. Until now, U.S. swimmer Marc Spitz's seven gold medals in the 1972 Games was the number to beat.
