This thought is partly inspired by the movie Avatar. I would love to be able to put on a pair of glasses that take me to a whole other world. I would love to see a perfect, high definition movie projected in 3D inside the lens of a pair of glasses. I'm sure we have the technology to do this at least. Another technology that could be incorporated along as well would be to make 3D video games to plug in and play through the glasses as well. Imagine entering and being able to interact with a whole world in 3D HD. Imagine combining this with a sensor that let you see in any direction in this 3D world just by turning your head in any direction. Imagine combining this vastly superior image quality with Wii styled gameplay, and if you looked down at your controler it would look like a gun or a magic wand, or whatever the game says it is. Such an idea used to be in the realm of impossible, but with computer chips getting smaller and smaller, this style of gameplay and entertainment could eventually become a very real part of our future existence.

A man will always need to eat more than he needs to have sex. A man can't last more than 7 days without food but he'll be ok if he doesn't have sex. Ask any man, however, to choose between the following two and the story changes: gourmet weekend meals at the world's best restaurants, or a hedonistic sex weekend in a castle in Europe where every fantasy is fulfilled. Which do you think wins over? Sex of course. Sex wins over food. (read more)

Don't you think most people would be more satisfied with a subscription model that works to save them money? The model is simple and I am sure I am not the first one to think of it. The company charges only for usage and refunds the subscription amount if usage of the service is low. If usage is high enough to make paying the full subscription amount more economical, then the customer pays the subscription amount. Simple as that. The customer knows there is no other better way to make use of his money spent on subscriptions, so unless every other business adopts this model he stays loyal. Loyalty will bring shit profits and lure millions of new customers to it.

When it's hot we wear less clothes which suggests the opportunities for exhibiting our bodies and getting aroused as a result are plenty more than in winter when the weather's cold and we cover ourselves up in more layers. When it's cold, however, we spend more time indoors and in order to keep warm in bed we wrab against each other more, thus increasing body to body contact and friction. With that in mind, if you were asked to make an educated guess on when people have more sex, what would your answer be?

Does anyone ever wonder why people need to have OTHER people (i.e. the FCC) decide for them whether or not they are responsible enough to watch a program with foul language in it in this technological day and age? Could we not EASILY have a television that censors out swear words ONLY for those who WANT to remove them from their program? It's not that I can't get enough swear words, it's because having ANY words censored makes me feel like I am having peoples' freedom of expression white washed by some asshole bureaucrat's wet dream. Just a thought. I guess that's what the internet is for. But it's still a ridiculous system they've got worked out for broadcast television for people who must believe that curse words are going to turn their children into hardened criminals one day.

Industrial education is outdated and a school of creativity/problem-solving would be a refreshing change.
A school where teachers learn from their students, and use that knowledge to enhance their students' creativity within the student's field of greatest passion or ability. The more the student learned, the more that student would be encouraged to expand into other fields of passion and ability. The teachers would be required to talk to every student as if they were an adult and not encourage an atmosphere of superiority vs inferiority, but rather an atmosphere of collective problem solving. If one student does not understand, everyone in the class would work with that student until they could figure out how to teach the lesson in a way that made sense to the confused student. If one student in the class is a trouble-maker for one reason or another, the whole class would work together until they figured out how to quell this problem. The main focus of such a school would be to figure out the strengths of each student, and to design creative ways for each individual's strength to interact with the strengths of every other individual in a classroom. This would establish a proper foundation for the future of society as a whole.

A robot that fire departments could use. Basically a walking exo-skeleton (or small indoor/stair climbing vehicle) that goes into burning buildings and searches for people/animals to rescue. Once it finds someone, it loads them inside the exo-skeleton/vehicle. Once locked inside, they are able to breath cool clean air until the robot transports them to safety. It would need to be light-weight (not much heavier than a full grown adult), and extremely heat resistant, with possibly some sort of pressurized coolant system built in.

I have no idea where she picked up the word, but the dictionary definition was too hard for my 9 year old niece to understand. Unless I told her it's another word for "difficult problem", it's hard to explain. So I asked her to imagine it's a drum that makes hard sounds that confuse up your mind because the drum is played by someone who doesn't know how to play drums. She loved that. Since conundrum also means a riddle whose answer is or involves a pun, my pun with the drum stayed true to the spirit of the word! :)

why medical care is so expensive is because we forgot about preventive medicine. in ancient china a doctor is fired when someone gets sick. then the doctor is interested in keeping you healthy. why not apply same system again? now we pay doctors when we get sick but if we pay doctor when he stops us from doing something that will make us sick, then we won't get sick and that's definitely better.

Imagine that all of us are icebergs floating on the sea of enlightenment. As an iceberg, you look down into the sea of enlightenment and know that you want to be a part of it. Then you discover that you too are made of water, except that you are frozen. You're just like the sea. The only difference is the temperature. Then, if you have the courage, you begin to wonder why you are so cold. (read more)
