religion says the spirit never dies it only separates from body. this is strange situation but if the spirit is alive after death and if there was way to communicate and dead people wrote books that got published would you read them? my friends think dead people's books business is just good marketing to sell books to people who believe in paranormal but if science can prove it can be done what would then your reaction be? would you read it or be scared to death?

I was walking down the street and a woman walking towards me passes me by. As I make a few steps away from her going my way I suddenly get a strong smell of her perfume. The moment we crossed each other I didn't smell anything or at least anything so strong as to notice it. A few steps later and her beautiful aroma was all over me. As I looked around there was no one else but her going down the street away from me. No shops nearby selling cosmetics where the smell could come from. What is this kind of perfume that makes its presence felt only from a distance? (read more)

We know the brain's split into 2 sides but that's not the politically correct way to think of it. For example, if the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body then, does that mean only left-handed people are in their right minds? ?? Besides, does anyone really know what side the center of the brain controls? None. That's because a center brain would get very confused trying not to show favoritism to one side or the other. So, if a center brain is not the right brain to have, what else is there left to have? :)

I was wondering if desire or lust and the pleasure we get from satisfying them is related to how many of all the 5 senses we use. For example, sex requires that ALL our senses be used: touch, smell, hearing, sight and taste. Every time we engage in it, it is as exciting as it was the first time. Hopefully, your "first" time was good :) On the other hand, watching a very good movie, requires hearing and sight only, if we keep watching the movie again and again the first-time excitiment wanes every time. Same with food which only requires taste and smell. The questions that arise are: Besides making love, are there other experiences that involve all our senses? For an experience to be fully exciting EVERY time we engage in it, must all 5 five senses be involved? Could it be that in evaluating the pleasures we get from things, we subsconsciously check to see how many of our senses are involved? Are we "calculating sensual machines"? The more senses involved, the merrier the pleasure maybe? I hope I made a point there :)

we need a big human-cannonball style cannon to shoot people to other cities - airfare costs too much these days and the stress of flying caused by accidents has increased. a big net could catch the fliers. before you embellish me with synonyms to the word 'insensitive' i will tell you i am taking the same air france flight that crashed in the ocean tomorrow and i already feel very jittery about it. rationally i am not afraid but irrationally i am. it's spooky but can't help it. i know. what are the chances of it happening again so soon. i am nervous and a cannonball would be really nice. my condolences to the families of the victims. mom. dad. love you.

A bit bloodcurdling and spooky, but have you ever thought what would be your LAST THREE things to do before you die? What would you do? It sounds easy but is not. Mine, after consideration, are from the order of less close to the time of death to most close to my death : 1) Apologise from every person I might have hurt, 2) Spend time with family and 3) Watch the last sunset with my g/f...Damn...It hurts even thinking of it!

The lower the expectations others have that I succeed the better the chances that I will actually do so. Freedom to act without constantly thinking whether I will meet the targets others have set for me make my actions more fun, enjoyable and rewarding. When you have nothing to lose, you always come out with the feeling of having won even if your targets haven't been met. In everything I do, I always remind myself to manage others expectations first and set them as low as possible. While that might hurt my ego a bit, it broadens freedom of action. The more you are discounted, the more you will be counted. What's your philosophy on this?

Lying on my death bed, I probably won't be thinking I wasted a lot of time in my life. I will probably be thinking I wasted a lot of my life. If for every time I was advised not to waste time, I could have been told 'don't waste your life' instead, perhaps I wouldn't be making these thoughts right now. Of course, I am not dead yet, I got to finish typing those words first :)
