http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuBo4E77ZXo It is a very surprising but also frustrating video about our world's future plans. Please watch this and comment on so many issues arised such as lack of freedom (which is a subject of a previous thought I have posted), manipulation, terrorism - real or just a well directed show (I am waiting for your comment here smartredneck), control, corruption and so on. It is very scary and in a way not such a bullshit...

If what it takes to produce a terrorist event of the Sep. 11 magnitude is extreme religious and ideological brainwashing, then guns, planes or other weapons that are abundantly manufactured are not the scariest weapons. If brainwashing is what is ultimately needed then email and IT skills is the ultimate weapon for terrorists. A software that can send emails to every person in the planet is a more powerful tool for terrorists than any conventional weapon, because you can brainwash millions of people to conduct terrorism all for free! What if there was a day dedicated to hackers, a day celebrated with parades worldwide? Obviously hackers would have to wear masks to come to the parade and the police will not be allowed to make any arrests or take photos. Similarly no hacker will be allowed to hack on that day. How different would the world really be on that day if everyone agreed to follow these rules? Obviously the good hackers would have to find a way to hack this...

Nothing like finally going out on an expensive dinner date with the girl you've been pursuing four weeks and finding out a more stunning girl sitting at the table in front is staring at you all evening. If that's not the most awkward dating situation, I don't know what is.

I wonder what's the smart thing to do with the Russian spies the FBI arrested. Wouldn't it have been better to keep them under surveillance and feed them misleading intelligence with an aim to make their spy work more expensive and benefit US foreign policy? That would be US-Russia: 1-0 on World Cup Intelligence. In so far as it costs less to surveil the spies than it costs the Russians to pay to keep them in the US, that's a penalty goal. Why refuse to hit it and spoil such an intelligent economic arrangement?

In 18th century England, a dentist named Dr Monsey removed a patient's tooth by tying it through a hole drilled in a bullet, then loaded the bullet into his revolver and pulled the trigger exclaiming Hasta la vista, baby.

Ok maybe he didn't use those words exactly. We're not sure if he spoke Spanish. The main point is that he not only invented the bullet method, he also gave it a try. Which raises an interesting question. Would you consider having your tooth pulled out bullet-style if you it wouldn't hurt? Top YouTube popularity is guaranteed. If you are a brave soul who has the guts and rotten teeth to experiment with pulling your teeth out bullet-style, capture it on video and share it with the world, I know you will become famous overnight. I'm talking millions of views and world fame. Why wouldn't anyone want to try this?

Here's my worldview on this. I don't think it does because it would have driven Hollywood out of business. Imagine a world of action movies where there is no torture, no violence and no pain during interrogation. Can you imagine Kiefer Sutherland in 24 dressed in a kitchen apron preparing truth-syrup psychoactive cookies to be served with tea and coffee at CTU? It takes all the fun away. (read more)

Cuil.com is advertised as a new search engine that aims to compete with Google but I really doubt it, I don't buy the story. I believe Google developed Cuil and is launching it as a separate, "competing" search engine in order to avoid a potential drop in its stock price in case Cuil fails. Developing a more advanced search engine than Google costs millions of dollars and since it was developed by people that used to work for Google, it seems to me Google is 100% behind it. If Cuil works, Google will buy it. If Cuil fails, nothing happens to Google stock. I must admit, that's really smart!

French President Nicolas Sarkozy threatened to sue the company that made voodoo dolls with his image if they didn't withdraw them from the shops. Sarkozy will probably win in court but there is a way for the company to still sell the dolls. Partner with another company and sell the doll and the person's image on the doll as two separate things. It will then be up to the customer to put Sarkozy's image on the faceless voodoo doll. The shops will make more money by selling the parts separate and no one will be able to sue the customers. You can't sue a company for libel or invasion of privacy for selling a 'faceless' doll. Similarly, you can't sue another company for innocent-looking faces customers can apply anywhere. Welcome to the world of voodoo doll production! :)
